The Charlotte Sports Commission is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, founded and formed by Charlotte's civic leaders after the very successful 1994 NCAA Men's Final Four. The Sports Commission's mission is to impact the region through sports. We do this by creating, recruiting and supporting sporting events and organizations as well as encouraging community participation. In addition, we provide unique events and sports business opportunities around professional, collegiate, amateur and youth sports. These efforts are intended to result in a positive economic impact on the region and to improve its quality of life.
