Originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century by John Pemberton, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.
Started in 1978 as an open house to invite the anglos to meet the Hispanics of Little Havana. Grew to what it is today, over one million attend and is one of the largest Hispanic gatherings in the country. Brands come face to face with consumers to taste and test new and existing products. Over 20 blocks filled with musical stages, sampling sites, ethnic food vendors and more.
