The Monmouth Hawks refer to the nineteen sports teams representing Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and track and field; women's-only bowling, field hockey, and softball; and men's-only baseball and football. The Blackbirds compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Northeast Conference. They will move most sports to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference starting July 1, 2013. The football team will become an FCS Independent for the 2013 season, and will move to the Big South Conference starting July 1, 2014.
