Belmont is a member of the NCAA Division I and at present is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference, a non-football conference. Starting in the 2012-13 season Belmont University will start competing in the Ohio Valley Conference in all of Belmont's sports except men's soccer, which the OVC does not sponsor.
