The Rugby League World Cup is an international rugby league tournament, contested by national teams of the Rugby League International Federation, which was first held in France in 1954, the first World Cup in either rugby code.
Opta becomes the official tournament data supplier and will work alongside host broadcasters BBC and Premier Sports as well as the tournament’s global broadcast partners. The firm will also provide full tournament data and statistics to the RLWC2013 official website.
