As of 2008, RadioShack reported net sales and operating revenues of $4.81 billion. The headquarters of RadioShack is located in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas. RadioShack is also a sponsor for the Samsung/RadioShack 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. On July 21, 2009, RadioShack announced a partnership with T-Mobile USA, and started offering the service in August 2009. The T-Mobile partnership ended on September 15, 2011 at that time Verizon Wireless launched in over 4,000 of the retail stores nationwide.
Lollapalooza is an annual music festival featuring popular alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock and hip hop bands, dance and comedy performances, and craft booths. It has also provided a platform for non-profit and political groups. The music festival hosts more than 160,000 people over a three day period. Lollapalooza has featured a diverse range of bands and has helped expose and popularize artists such as Depeche Mode, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, The Cure, Primus, The Killers, Kanye West, Rage Against the Machine, Arcade Fire, Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction, X Japan, Soundgarden, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Smashing Pumpkins, Muse, Alice in Chains, Tool, Hole, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Drums, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Eminem, Calvin Harris, Thenewno2, Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, and Green Day.
