Russell Brands, LLC, headquartered in Bowling Green, KY, is a manufacturer of sports equipment, which markets its products under many brands and subsidiaries, including Russell Athletic (its flagship brand), Spalding, Huffy, and Brooks, amongst others. Formerly a publicly traded company, Russell Brands has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway since 2006.
The Howard Bison and Lady Bison refer to the 17 sports teams representing Howard University in Washington, DC in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis and track and field. Women's sports include bowling, lacrosse, softball, and volleyball and men's-only football. The Bison compete in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision and are members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for most sports, except for the women's soccer team which competes in the Great West Conference and the women's lacrosse team which competes in Atlantic Sun Conference.
