Summary: The Partnership Assistant fulfills and helps maximize sponsor partnerships. In addition, they support essential functions of the Rock Hall’s sales teams. The Partnership Assistant also helps with the planning and execution of sponsorship activation events. This person reports and works closely with the Director of Strategic Partnerships.


1. Sponsorship fulfillment and activation

  • Develops and refines sponsorship sales presentations and proposals for prospective clients with the Director of Strategic Partnerships’ support and guidance
  • Oversees sponsorship contract fulfillment to assure that that deliverables promised are provided to the sponsor, including but not limited to: signage, marketing and social inclusion, hospitality, consumer promotions, and branded content packages
  • Coordinates and executes sponsorship activations during events including but not limited to: brand activations, product sampling, signage installation, hospitality events, consumer promotions, etc.
  • Partners with appropriate Rock Hall team members to develop plans for activation rollout
  • Responsible for the fulfillment of local, regional, and national sponsorships by ensuring the delivery of contractual elements and providing excellent customer service to clients while collaborating with internal team members
  • Prepares and creates sponsor recap presentations or reports including event/marketing recaps and reporting on key measures of success

    2. Sales team support

  • Provides support to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Group Sales Manager, and Sales Coordinator as needed to help fulfill sales team objectives
  • Helps in the development and cultivation of our sales pipeline by conducting market and brand research
  • Assists with the data entry and maintenance of our CRM
  • Helps complete essential sales team job functions in the absence of the Group Sales Manager or the Sales Coordinator

    3. Other duties

  • Assists the external and internal event sales teams with planning and event operations when needed
  • Other tasks as assigned byDirector of Strategic Partnership and sales team
  • Duties include but may not be limited to the above.

    Required Skills

    Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sports / Entertainment Marketing, Communications/Radio, Sales, or related field required - OR - equivalent professional experience required. Ability to read and demonstrate basic oral, written, mathematical and manual skills. Ability to communicate in standard English.

    Experience in Field:

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of hospitality, event, sales, marketing, sponsorship, and/or customer service experience preferred.

    Work Schedule:

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week; any shift as assigned, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to work rotating shifts and on short notice. Ability to be reachable to respond to clients’ needs and requests. Ability to work additional hours as business needs demand. This position will require work during occasional weekends and holidays.

    Unique Expertise/Certification/Registrations:

  • Prior event activation experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the design of event/partner recaps preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator.
  • Experience conducting sales outreach, including but not limited to cold calls.
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to successfully pass Rock and Roll Hall of Fame reference check, background investigation and drug screening.
  • Ability to get along with other people.

    Working Conditions:

  • Environmental Parameters: Ability to work in a window-less office. Ability to work in areas with loud noise for periods of time. Ability to work both inside and outside. Ability to handle vibrations from equipment.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Strength: Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 30 lbs. (approximately)
  • Type: Express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word and to perceive nature of sounds. Ability to hear accurately to interact with the public and co-workers. Demonstrate clarity of vision; judge distance and space relationships; identify and distinguish colors, numbers, and figures. Ability to bend body downward and forward to access machinery close to ground. Ability to extend arms to access higher places. Ability to perceive attributes of objects such as size, shape, and texture. Ability to perform tasks concurrently. Ability to stand, sit, and walk frequently.

  • Personal computer, cell phone, telephone, two-way radio, photocopier and other office equipment.

    Safety Hazards:

  • Physical hazards: Close proximity to moving machinery parts. Atmospheric hazards: exposure to fumes, gas, mists. Aptitude Requirements:


  • Analytical: Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Communication: Ability to be conversant in Museum rules and procedures. Ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions. Ability to answer inquiries from visitors and employees.
  • Administrative: Ability to complete forms. Ability to pay attention to detail and accurately distinguish data.


  • Motor Coordination: Ability to make necessary movements in selecting, picking and depositing items.
  • Finger Dexterity: Ability to pick, pinch or otherwise work with fingers to operate above equipment. Ability to pick up a variety of items and place them on shelves; to move knobs, buttons or switches.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with hands. Ability to shake, sort, fold or stack items; to place and retrieve items.
