Purpose of the Role: You’ll be joining the Americas region of McLaren Racing’s Partnership Development Team, which is tasked with creating the commercial framework that will enable McLaren to deliver the most exciting and inspiring performance in racing and win world championships.


Your primary role will be to engage and educate decision makers of global brands based in the Americas on McLaren Racing as a prospective marketing platform and to ultimately form new racing team partnerships. This role will be expected to be a leader and front-facing executive in the region to ensure we are maximizing all opportunities as we grow our business and increase our activity in the Americas region.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Executing stated marketing strategies and selling rights fees based packages throughout Americas
  • Initiating, driving new business relationships and securing new partnership revenues are the primary focus of this position
  • Success will require the ability to aggressively penetrate into multiple industries seeking out potential business opportunities.
  • He/she will work closely with all Partnership Development departmental employees and other sales leaders for planning projects, scheduling proficient communication flow and working closely with UK-based clients, prospects, teams, right holders, series owners, suppliers’
  • Manage high level relationships with key decision makers in prospect brands throughout the region.
  • Be a subject matter expert on partnerships within F1, IndyCar and other McLaren properties.
  • Manage and coordinate new business activity including: campaign planning and execution, event attendance, partnership ideation and preparation of sales materials and pitches.
  • Work closely with the wider Partnership Development Team and McLaren Group to support in new business generation across all departments.
  • Maintain an accurate new business pipeline and database.
  • Working closely with a range of teams across McLaren, including Licensing, Strategy, Brand, Comms and Digital, Partnerships and Events, developing strong relationships with key team members.


    Required Skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to help guide a team that is without an HQ environment
  • A rounded knowledge of MS Office and Salesforce
  • A proven record in sponsorship sales
  • A confident, articulate, passionate individual with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility in working hours and able to do extensive travel.
  • A good understanding of sports marketing and what is needed to achieve success
  • Must be have the correct mix of creativity, vision, strategic thinking, negotiation skill, closing ability and leadership to be impactful across the required areas
