The Gatorade Partner Services team is responsible for driving brand advocacy with sports performance professionals (athletic trainers, strength coaches, sports dietitians, sport coaches), increasing backed-by- science equity and delivering best-in-class service for all sports marketing partners. The Marketing Manager will lead a team tasked with both the evolution of Backed by Science and Credible Recommendation equity metrics, inclusive of GSSI brand-building, and digital eco-system advancement.
Responsibilities for this role focus on team leadership, agency management, cross-functional collaboration, with GSSI and external partnership connectivity to deliver Gatorade-level service via products, premiums, science, education and engagement. The ability to drive strategy, deliver innovative programming with measurable results, and inspire and lead a large team is critical for success in this role. A passion for sports performance/science and the desire to seek out and build long-term relationships within the sports performance community, on behalf of the business, is imperative.
Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
Lead strategy for GSSI marketing, including collaboration with cross-functional teams on GSSI visibility and integration into marketing/service initiatives
Lead all strategy and engagement with Registered Dietitians, including relationships with key partner organizations
Lead strategy and engagement with scientific influencers, including key partner organizations, while acting as a liaison with GSSI Education Team
Support marketing initiatives for GSSI Labs/Services, including Barrington and IMG
Team lead on Gatorade digital Eco-system advancement, including partnership integration & Gx Teams linkage
Connectivity to help drive strategy of Gatorade Performance Partner community platform, growth, and engagement
Lead team on establishment & process for delivering on BU vision of being a leader in athlete intelligence.
Manage roster of cross-functional agencies, including creative, communications, media, CRM, etc. related to GSSI and Service programming
Lead reinvention of gold-standard service model for sports marketing partners across all S&F BU brands – Gatorade, BOLT, Muscle Milk, Cytosport, Evolve
Play a lead role in development of Gatorade B2B capabilities, collaborating with x-functional stakeholders including digital ecosystems, innovation, athlete activation and sports partnerships
Manage multi-million-dollar budget, from development of annual operating plans, to monthly tracking, to review and approval process tied to contracts, agency SOWs, and ad hoc program
Contribute to annual planning process and developing long-term strategy for increasing backed-by- science equity and driving gold-standard service
Must have a BS/BA degree along with a minimum of 7 years of direct, full-time work experience.
A blend of business/marketing management and communications skills are critical to success in this role.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, project management expertise. Knowledge of sports science is preferred.
