You will support the VP of Sports Marketing in the development, management, and execution of Red Bull's national Sports Marketing strategy. The Director, Field Sports Marketing will promote clear understanding between the Santa Monica (SaMo) Headquarters and all regional Sports Marketing teams in the US to ensure strategies and events are the most creative, on-brand, and impactful within the world of Red Bull.


OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Help complete the annual Sports Marketing and indirect budget process across SaMo and the regions
  • Deliver the annual national Sports Marketing plan in partnership with the regional Sports Marketing leadership
  • Ensure all Red Bull events and athlete projects are accomplished on time, on budget, and achieve performance targets
  • Identify, document, and share best practices across SaMo and regional Sports Marketing teams
  • Be the first point of contact for identified departmental execution issues to lead remediation efforts
  • Provide recommendations and guidance for regional Sports Marketing budgets and tactical investments
  • Increase collaboration between SaMo and the regional Sports Marketing teams


    STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

  • Evaluate latest sports trends across regions and identify potential opportunities to activate target consumer groups
  • Amplify the voice of the regions during business planning, ensuring Sports Marketing plans engage and inspire consumers
  • Partner with the VP of Sports Marketing in the development of national/regional strategic partnerships that improve the consumer experience and event credibility
    LEADERSHIP AND TEAM CULTIVATION
  • Mentor regional Sports Marketing leads on performance management and KPI development
  • Support consistency and development of the department culture


    Required Skills

  • 8+ years' experience in Sports Marketing Management
  • Experienced marketing operator, with demonstrated success in prior roles
  • Strong planning and project management capabilities, including budget management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of youth and professional sports and event management
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with high standards of work performance
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree English, additional languages an advantage
  • Travel 50-60%
