Each year the Cumberland River Dragon Boat Festival celebrates the importance of the Cumberland River to the City of Nashville. Through a series of four-boat heats that race a 200-meter stretch of the Cumberland River between the Woodland Street Bridge to the Shelby Street Walking Bridge, the Cumberland River Compact has the opportunity to promote the health and enjoyment of the Cumberland River first hand. This year we are pausing the races for the health and safety of Nashville’s residents, but are keeping the spirit of the festival alive with family-friendly activities, community education opportunities, live music and more!
