Plant entrepreneur, hospitality expert who has inspired thousands of hospitality professionals during her 20 year career in the restaurant industry. Ms. Plant is a Detroit native, she graduated from Michigan State University and majored in Hospitality Management. Immediately following graduation, she relocated to Atlanta where she began her career in the hospitality industry. Dakita always had a passion for serving and creating memorable experiences for her friends, family and community. She spent over 16 years of her career with Jackmont Hospitality a Franchisee of TGI Fridays. She worked her way up the ladder and became the first female Director of Operations, overseeing the careers of over 700 Team Members and managed an annual budget of over $50 million. During her association with Jackmont Hospitality, she built a reputation of having passion for her Team Members and prided herself on building positive relationships with politicians and local community leaders. Dakita also serves as the Vice President of a non-profit organization Vitiligo, Man of Action where she helped to raise over $30,000 to build awareness and provide counseling for children that have been diagnosed with Vitiligo. The experience and relationships that she built during her tenure at Jackmont gave her the courage and confidence to step out on faith to start TAM Essentials, LLC. Ms. Plant has worked with a plethora of celebrity clients to include Grammy nominated artist, Angie Stone, radio personality Greg Street and V-103, Ludacris, Carol Blackmon and many more. Dakita has an infectious personality and continues to build her clientele and has lived up to her reputation for throwing “Kick Ass Parties” and bringing the FUN back in entertainment!!
