Big Queer Food Fest is a multi-day food festival celebrating the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to the culinary world. BQFF was founded to highlight the incredible contributions of the queer community within the culinary world. The first multi-day event of its kind, the BQFF builds on the legacy of luminaries such as James Beard, Craig Clairborne, and Elka Gilmore to elevate world-renowned and locally based queer chefs, tastemakers, and food purveyors. By coming together to break bread and celebrate the way food can connect us, we honor the often unknown, frequently unsung role of the queer community in shaping the current state of global cuisine. Our mission is to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s contributions to the world of food and drink and advocate for greater representation in the culinary world. We hope you’ll join us at the table.
