Tacotopia is a one of a kind, three-dimensional, immersive art exhibit dedicated to everyone’s favorite past time, TACOS!
The imaginative experience is fun for all ages, and for all the non-taco lovers out there, if that exists, there are plenty of swoon-worthy photo opportunities throughout the exhibit that aren’t tacotastic.
The inspiration behind Tacotopia began with the Goddess of Tacos created by Jose Ortiz, the Creative Director at the company behind Tacotopia. The Goddess of Tacos is an amalgamation of the Zapotec Goddess of Life and Ushnishavijaya the Buddha Goddess of a Long Life.
“Taco Tuesday’s are sacrosanct in our office and this weekly ritual generally evolves into a creative meeting, Tacotopia was just the natural evolution,” says Jose Ortiz. We're a Taco loving bunch of creatives!
The interactive experience features more than thirty unique environments with larger-than-life installations ranging from the Goddess of Tacos to an oversized bowl of foam Pico De Gallo in the Pico Pit, an immersive Senorita Needs a Margarita lime swing, a taco teeter-totter, the Piñatapoloza, and a staircase leading to Churro Heaven.
Guests can choose their arrival time and will have approximately 60 minutes to explore and play in the taco wonderland full of sharable moments. A limited number of tickets will be available each day.
The Tacotopia tour kicks off in Austin, TX during SXSW 2019 and continues in Los Angeles, May 2019 for a 14-week exhibit followed by Chicago, Miami, New York, and Phoenix.
