We’re proud to support over 700 members with new membership inquiries almost daily. The Kamloops & District Chamber provides members opportunities to grow their business and become community leaders through benefit opportunities & professional development programming, including the Business Excellence Awards, industry specific focus groups, networking luncheons, committees, peer lead seminars and much more. OUR VALUES: Inclusive - We accept & support all business. Leadership - We are the voice of the Business Community. Member Focused - We provide opportunity for all our members. Collaborative - We seek out intentional partnerships. Being involved with the Kamloops Chamber comes with its many advantages through connection, development, and advocacy. The Chamber helps connect you and your organization to other businesses throughout the business community and these connections can result in direct referrals, partnerships, or mentoring opportunities. As well, the Chamber can connect you with various discounts offered by our partners and we offer various workshops and seminars throughout the year to our members at reduced pricing. Such programs include public speaking, networking 101, governance training and leadership development with the programs varying throughout each year based on member needs. Our advocacy is one of our most powerful elements of membership and often the most overlooked. The Kamloops Chamber listens to the needs of the business community and acts as a voice on its behalf. Each year we put forth many policies through the various levels of government with the support of the other BC Chambers and nationally if required - Expand Reach - Increase visibility and promote your business through the Chamber membership. Online and in-person opportunities to expand marketing reach and enhance your business' brand reputation, and can lead to referrals, connections, and increased exposure & business. - Build Relationships - Develop professional relationships and build social capital through networking events, committees and groups that include business leaders in Kamloops and the region. - Voice of Business - The Chamber is your voice for connecting business interest with government. We advocate for solutions on key business issues in our community, city, province and country. - Discount Programs & Workshops - the Chamber can connect you with various discounts offered by our partners and we offer various workshops and seminars throughout the year to our members at reduced pricing. Such programs include public speaking, networking 101, governance training and leadership development. - Policy Setting - Some current policies we are working on include the Establishment of the First Nations Infrastructure Institute, Made in Canada Inclusive Tax Policy Process (ITPP), Supporting Universities for a Stronger Economy in BC, and The Locked IN Estate Trust (LIET) – A Response to Canada’s Retirement Income Challenges, and the Land Trust Policy. Be involved - be a voice - be informed - provide direction on all the policies we advocate for.
