“Sinestesia: Natural or Synthetic,” is an experimental exhibition of Art + Biology, aiming to explore the use of art as a tool to communicate science to the general public. The main goal is to inspire and communicate the importance of the biological processes that make living organisms unique — aiming to generate an inclusive dialogue and reflection in the general public about biotechnologies such as genetic engineering and synthetic biology. About the organizers: Scintia is a Mexican startup aiming to revolutionize education, research, and entrepreneurship on synthetic biology at Mexico and Latin America. We developed the first educational platform to facilitate STEAM teaching, and we are developing low-cost laboratory equipment to democratize synthetic biology. We are looking to share the benefits of synthetic biology and its potential to improve life quality. Allbiotech is a nonprofit organization aiming to promote biotechnology development in Latin America, creating an active community of +200 young leaders across the region.
