Years in the biz:

7 and counting

How did you get started in it?

I started in Minor League Baseball making peanuts and selling tickets. After my second season, I began focusing on sponsorship sales. I immediately fell in love with the fast pace, ever changing atmosphere and the ability to be much more creative with my ideas.

How many deals have you done?

I’m well over a 100+ deals now, with plenty more to come.

What is your most effective sales tactic?

Networking, with the ability to forge long lasting relationships

How did you first hear about SponsorPitch?

Originally I saw a tweet posted by @SponsorPitch. The tweet introduced an opportunity to become a part of a test group for a new dedicated sports decision maker database product. I jumped at the opportunity and began inputting my connections/industry data back in July.

Why did you join SponsorPitch?

The idea of sharing information between professionals was very intriguing. Each day we all spend so much time networking and chasing the same data. I felt that if there were a way to collaborate and share real-time information, maybe all of our lives would be a bit easier?

If you could say anything about the industry, what would it be?

The industry is huge, but in a way a small tightly knit circle. For me, what goes around comes around. If I can help a colleague of mine to connect with a contact or give them a bit of background on a deal I’ve done, I’m sure they’ll return the favor in the future.
