Airlines Quick To Capitalize On Cup Win

Marketers at Lufthansa, the official airline of the German Football Association (DFB), must have known it would be a somewhat awkward celebration if their team took home the hardware on Sunday. That's because competitor, Emirates, was front and center throughout the World Cup awards ceremony viewed by over a billion people worldwide. Nevertheless, as official were preparing to award the World Cup trophies, Lufthansa came up with a clever way to join the celebration (if by social media only). Hat tip: Skift
