AshleyMadison.com Wants To Sponsor NBA Player's Return to Italy
As the NBA lockout continues on, Italian basketball teams continue to flirt with NBA players. Tuesday's rumor du jour has an interesting match-maker: AshleyMadison.com. Italian League professional basketball club, Virtus Roma is in discussions with Canadian website, AshleyMadison.com, to work out a €1.5 million deal that would bring the Toronto Raptors player, Andrea Bargnani, back to his hometown of Rome, according to a major Italian paper. Deals such as this often require a corporate sponsor to facilitate the acquisition.
"I met with Virtus Roma and we are in talks for a major sponsorship and return to Italy for Andrea Bargnani," Noel Biderman, founder of Ashleymadison.com told italian newspaper, LASTAMPA.it. "For around a million and a half euros, this is a very important investment."
Bargnani was selected first overall in the 2006 NBA Draft. Meanwhile, Bargnani isn't the first high profile NBA player to consider a sponsored move to Italy.
