ATP Tour & Ricoh Extend Through 2012

The ATP and Ricoh have extended their partnership through 2012 in a deal that will make Ricoh a Platinum Partner and Official Office Solutions Provider of the ATP World Tour in Europe. Ricoh has been an ATP official partner since 2005.

As part of the new agreement, Ricoh will sponsor six additional European events in Spain, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland, increasing the total number of individual tournaments it sponsors to 12. Ricoh has also extended its existing sponsorship of events in Monte Carlo, Rome, Madrid, Hamburg, Paris and the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals through the end of the agreement.

“We are very happy about Ricoh’s increased commitment to the ATP World Tour and believe it sends a great message about the current popularity of our game,” said Adam Helfant, ATP Executive Chairman and President. “Not only are the products and services Ricoh provides important to our daily operations, but their event experience is also a real asset to the Tour.”

Ricoh's on-court branding at the twelve tournaments includes the umpire chairs, speed-serve displays and TV graphics. Ricoh also will continue to sponsor the official Ricoh ATP MatchFacts statistics report, featured on ATPWorldTour.com and distributed to media after every ATP World Tour match. ATP Match Facts detail a wide variety of player statistics and facts on each match, and also across the season including: number of aces, details of service points and games, and break points saved/converted.

Simon Sasaki, Chairman and CEO, Ricoh Europe said, “By extending our partnership in Europe, it strongly reflects how we are growing and evolving as a business. Organisations today need the assurance of extensive service levels from their technology partners. The ATP World Tour offers us a platform to communicate our service and support capabilities directly to our customers. Also, like the professional players, we strive to be the best and move ideas forward, by continually innovating and improving.”
