Bucks Become Latest NBA Team To Land Vodka Deal
Illinois-based ultra premium vodka, YES Vodka, is the newest sponsor of the Milwaukee Bucks in an agreement that includes sponsorship on the Bucks Statewide Radio Network, in-arena signage, a YES Vodka lounge and social media elements. The Bucks follow a host of NBA teams that have secured vodka deals since the league loosened team alcohol rules, including the Nets (Stoli), Knicks (Sobieski) and Pacers (Fuzzy's).
“We are enthusiastic about Pure Spirits Worldwide joining our valued team of Bucks sponsors,” Bucks Vice President of Business Operations John Steinmiller said. “Pure Spirits is focused on an intensive, creative launch of their YES Vodka brand and we are committed to helping them establish the brand in Wisconsin and wherever adult Bucks fans and sports, music and special event followers are. The Bradley Center is Wisconsin’s top entertainment venue and we expect a strong collaboration that will help meet the goals of Pure Spirits CEO Larry Wojciak and his team as they introduce this high-quality, unique product.”
YES Vodka products will be available in suites and clubs for all Bradley Center events, as well as available at the new YES Vodka Lounge, which opens on Saturday.
YES Vodka was launched in 2010 by startup spirits company, Pure Worldwide. According to Renee Haber, EVP of Account Services at YES' ad agency, Laughlin Constable, the vodka brand has little budget for paid advertising - making event marketing a critical component of the marketing spend.
"Lacking the huge budgets of our key super-premium competitors (Grey Goose, Belvidere, Ketel One and Effen), we built a marketing program around sampling YES Vodka through events we built a marketing program around sampling YES Vodka through events at bars, restaurants and liquor stores, and driving those who’ve participated in these tastings to Facebook and Twitter." Haber wrote on the agency's blog earlier this week.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Bradley Center and Levy Restaurants,” said CEO of Pure Spirits Worldwide, Inc., Larry Wojciak. “Having the Bradley Center and the Milwaukee Bucks in our corner to help launch YES Vodka in the Wisconsin market is very exciting.”
