Check Out How Puma Launched Its Latest Motorsports Deal

PUMA has secured its first official sponsorship in Global Rallycross, announcing yesterday that it will team up with Subaru to form the Subaru PUMA Rallycross Team. The deal won't come as a surprise to those of you who regularly monitor the SponsorPitch jobs bank, which included a PUMA position back in April touting its newest motorsports marketing initiative.


To kick off the partnership, the apparel and lifestyle brand released this awesome video, which in less than a day has amassed 30,000 views..

The Subaru PUMA Rallycross Team will be competing in the six-round 2012 Global Rallycross Championships in venues across the United States including the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and the Summer X Games 18 in Los Angeles.

"This sponsorship gives our brand a great opportunity to play within the action sports world in a totally PUMA way," said Antonio Bertone, Chief Marketing Officer for PUMA. "Anyone that has experienced this intense sport would understand why PUMA would want to be involved. Working with Subaru aligns PUMA with one of the most successful brands in motorsport and allows us to continue our rich history in this category."

Puma will release lifestyle footwear, tees and accessories inspired by the team and rally cars beginning this summer.
