Coca-Cola Cuts American Idol Sponsorship
After 13 seasons of being one of American Idol's lead sponsors, Coca-Cola is dropping its sponsorship instead choosing to "venture into new spaces and pursue other opportunities to connect with teens and leverage music as a passion point." That's according to a Variety report, which notes that Coca-Cola, which has been a sponsor since AI's first season, had cut its spend with the hit reality show in recent years by a third to $16.3 million in 2014.
