Continental Gives Red Bull Wings

Continental Airlines will be the official and exclusive airline sponsor of MLS' Red Bull New York and Red Bull Arena – the team's new 25,000-seat stadium, team officials announced today. Deal terms were not disclosed.

"We are excited to announce our new partnership with Continental Airlines," said Red Bull New York Managing Director Erik Stover. "Continental Airlines is one of the world's elite airlines, and we expect that this will be the beginning of a long-lasting relationship between Red Bull New York and Continental."

"We are very pleased to be able to partner with the Red Bulls," said Mark Bergsrud, Continental's senior vice president of marketing programs and distribution. "The sponsorship will enable us to build upon our existing promotional activities within the community. Their impressive new facility offers a great environment to talk more directly to our core customers about our product and extensive service out of the New York area."

The agreement includes joint marketing fan promotions and access to a variety of exclusive Red Bull experiences made available to OnePass members on the Continental Airlines OnePass Auction Web site, in addition to other traditional sponsorship inventory.

Red Bull and Panasonic are official partners of the new stadium. Local team partners include W Hotels, adidas and Hospital for Special Surgery.
