Fashion Week Sponsor Crowdsources the Perfect "Snackcessory"
How do you make fiber fashionable? General Mills is asking fashionistas to help out with that. A Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week sponsor for the second year running, Fiber One is activating its sponsorship by asking fashion fans to submit a design for their own "Snackcessory" – a stylishly-designed case or pouch that can store on-the-go snacks – ahem, like Fiber One Bars. After submitting a photo and 100-word description of their original Snackcessory design, they'll have a chance to win a trip to next February's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
“We’re excited to be a part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week again this year,” said Doug Martin, marketing manager for Fiber One. “For many women, fashion is synonymous with handbags, and Fiber One Bars are the perfect tasteful accessory to keep inside your handbag."
The Official Snack of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has also created special packaging, seen to the right, to activate the partnership.
In addition to the grand prize trip, nine finalists will each be awarded one $500 gift card and plenty of Fiber One Bars and Brownies.To accept entries, Fiber One has developed a microsite that is dedicated to the contest, which will run through the end of September.
