Football Team Renamed The 'Edge' Thanks To Ford Sponsorship
Bloomington, Illinois' Indoor Football League franchise will be renamed from the Bloomington Extreme to the Bloomington Edge as part of a new sponsorship agreement with a local Ford dealership. The Ford Edge, introduced in 2006, is the auto company's mid-sized crossover SUV.
