Ford Activates New Partnership With Life-Size Lego SUV
Ford's new customer acquisition strategy may give the automaker a roughly 10 year jump start on the competition, which, you know, usually markets to people of legal driving age. Check out this Ford Explorer, which was created with more than 380,000 Lego bricks and marks the beginning of a new long-term alliance between Ford and LegoLand Florida theme park, which will go so far as to provide kids that attend LegoLand's new Ford Driving School with an official Ford Driving License. The theme park's target audience? 2 to 12 year olds (and their families), which is why it will have a speed limit of 3mph. Here's the time lapse that shows the assembly of the Lego Ford, which rolled out of the Ford Assembly Plant in Chicago last week.
Ford Explorer brand manager, Craig Patterson, was on hand at the unveiling to discuss the new partnership with Legoland.
