The firestorm surrounding the Houston Rockets GM's now-deleted China tweet last month reportedly cost up to $20 million in lost corporate sponsorships, according to ESPN. At 140 characters, that's an astounding $143,000/character in pulled corporate partnerships! Sportswear-maker Li Ning, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and online finance marketplace Jiayin Group were among the sponsors suspending deals with the team in the wake of the controversy.
