Landing Super Bowl Can Help Giants, Jets in Naming-Rights Search
The Jets and Giants won't be lining their pockets with game-related revenue if the new Meadowlands Stadium plays host to the 2014 Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean they won't cash in.
The league's 32 owners will decide among New York/New Jersey, South Florida and Tampa as the Super Bowl XLVIII site at the NFL spring meeting Tuesday - and if the Meadowlands is chosen, it would provide the Jets and Giants some much-needed leverage in their ongoing search for a naming-rights sponsor for the new stadium.
