Lawn Tennis Scores Thomson Reuters

Just in time for the summer grass court season, Thomson Reuters will become the second Official Sponsor of Britain's Lawn Tennis Association. The three year deal from 2010 through 2012.


As Official Statistics and Information Partner of the LTA, Thomson Reuters will be designated the Official Statistics and Information Partner of the AEGON British Tennis Series. The brand also becomes the Official Scoring Partner of the AEGON British Tennis Series.

"Supporting the tennis stars of today and tomorrow, Thomson Reuters is looking forward to further exploring how information and technology can drive elite performance and sporting success”

Bruce Philipps, Director of Communications and Commercial at the LTA, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Thomson Reuters to our commercial programme as an Official Sponsor. We are excited about the growth potential in using their expertise in analytics and technology within British tennis as we continue to evolve the sport. We are very much looking forward to working with them over the next three years.”

The LTA launched the commercial strategy in May 2008 and in September 2008 Aegon was announced as the first ever Lead Partner for British Tennis. Official Supporters include BNP Paribas and Highland Spring, and now Thomson Reuters, and Suppliers such as Nike, Lucozade Sport and International Hotels Group.

The Lawn Tennis Association, formed in 1888, is the national governing body of tennis in Great Britain
