M-B Lines Up London Fashion Week, Too
In keeping with Mercedes-Benz sponsorship of exclusive fashion experiences throughout the world, the automaker will be the official car of this year's London Fashion Week.
As the official car of London Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz will provide a fleet of low CO2 emission, BlueEFFICIENCY cars to provide transport for accredited journalists VIPs, designers and celebrities between the catwalk shows.
The automaker's association with global fashion events spans 20 countries and began with the title sponsorship of Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in Sydney and Melbourne in 1996 and later with Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week in the spring of 2001. This was followed by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks in Berlin, Miami and Mexico. More recently Mercedes-Benz has become the official car for Milan, Paris and London Fashion Weeks.
It is great to be able to join up our international fashion partnerships and being involved with London means that Mercedes-Benz is now a partner of the four major fashion weeks – aligning the brand with the pinnacle of innovation in style,” Andrew Roberts, Communications Director at Mercedes-Benz said.
Meanwhile, stateside Mercedes-Benz just kicked off their New York Fashion Week last night at the Bryant Park tents.
In this year's lobby M-B has partnered with leading designers to create a retrospective exhibit depicting iconic Mercedes-Benz E-class vehicles and fashion trends from the 1940's through 2010.
"The 2010 spring season is a time of year when people begin thinking about their summer excursions creating a natural connection between fashion and travel," said Lisa Holladay, Manager Brand Experience Marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA.
Mercedes-Benz will also activate through the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge, which continues to be the backstage epicenter for designer receptions and celebrity sightings.
