Matt Kenseth Wins Daytona 500, But Loses With Sponsors
The 54th running of the Daytona 500 featured a little bit of everything. Rain pushed the race to Monday night for the first time. An early wreck knocked out Jimmie Johnson, Danica Patrick and 2011 Daytona winner Trevor Bayne. The race’s signature moment was when Juan Pablo Montoya crashed into a jet dryer truck on the track that created an inferno that caused a two-hour delay. The delay helped driver Brad Keselowski become a social media star after posting pictures of the blazing truck on his Twitter account. The race finally ended after midnight with Matt Kenseth edging out Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the win.
