NBA Sponsor Kicked Out of Kawhi's All-Star Game Presser
Many times an athlete's individual sponsors may not be perfectly aligned with the sponsors of the team or league in which they're playing. In fact, player sponsorships are often viewed as a great way to circumvent league sponsors in a competitive and costly category like sports drinks. However, it's not everyday that you see the All-Star MVP verbally give the boot to one of the league's biggest sponsors, Gatorade. That's apparently what happened at the NBA All-Star Game post-game press conference with MVP Kawhi Leonard noting "not sponsored by Gatorade" as he placed the famous green bottle under the table.
