"Outdoor Rink" Spot Activates Honda's Hockey Sponsorship
Check out what Honda and its ad agency, RPA, came up with just in time for the NHL playoffs. The new “Outdoor Rink” spot, shot in Minneapolis, will be used to activate Honda’s official sponsorship of the NHL.
Shot in Minneapolis, Minn., “Outdoor Rink” celebrates pond hockey, a popular activity in the cold-weather states. Three former NHL players were featured including Pat LaFontaine, formerly of the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers; Mike Richter, of the NY Rangers; and Neal Broten, of the Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, New Jersey Devils and Los Angeles Kings.
“We wanted to tell a heart-warming story that captures the true spirit of hockey,” said Joe Baratelli, SVP, Creative Director at RPA. “This spot is intended to bring attention to Honda’s NHL sponsorship while demonstrating that Honda truly embraces the game of hockey.”
