PGA Tour Announces Schedule, New Sponsors

PGA Tour announced that FedEx will be back as title sponsor of the St. Jude Classic today, while announcing its 2011 tournament schedule.

FedEx returns as the title sponsor of Memphis' St. Jude Classic after a four-year absence. The Memphis-based FedEx was title sponsor from 1995-2006.

"We continue to work on tournament sponsorship commitments and are pleased to welcome new sponsors in Hyundai (Tournament of Champions, Kapalua), Nationwide (the Memorial Tournament's presenting sponsor) and Cadillac (World Golf Championships at Doral)," PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem said.

Wells Fargo will be back in a title sponsor role at Quail Hollow. The tournament was formerly sponsored by Wachovia, which is now owned by Wells Fargo, but in light of the economic conditions operated for the last two years under the name Quail Hollow Championship with behind-the-scenes support from the banking giant.

Nationwide adds presenting sponsorship of the Memorial Tournament to its relationship with the PGA Tour, while seepuertorico.com will become presenting sponsor of the Puerto Rico Open. Nationwide is title sponsor of the PGA Tour's developmental tour as well, through 2012.

The Heritage at Hilton Head and the Bob Hope Classic are on the schedule, but remain without title sponsors for 2011.
