Pro Baseball Team Sells Jersey Patch. Trend?

Max Muscle and the Frontier League's Rockford RiverHawks may have broken new ground in becoming one of the first pro baseball teams to feature a jersey sponsorship patch. Every player on the team is wearing the sponsor patch on the back of the jersey just above the player number for both home and away games, according to Baseball Digest, a popular trade publication covering the sport.
