Procter & Gamble Goes Gospel

Procter & Gamble has agreed to sponsor the Allstate Gospel Superfest in its hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. In its 11th year, The Allstate Gospel Superfest is one of the nation's largest television recordings in the field of urban-targeted- inspirational music and entertainment and as part of the deal will feature P&G brands including Swiffer, Mr. Clean, Bounty, Charmin, and Gain in advertising for the performance. The annual event brings together more than thirty national acts and will be co-hosted by film and television stars Vivica A. Fox and Flex Alexander.


This year the event will debut the Horizon Award, which will honor songstress, Mary Wynn of Detroit, as one of the nation's most promising new voices.

"I am honored to bring together such a strong group of performers to showcase the message of faith, hope and love for audiences across the U.S.," said Dr. Bobby Cartwright, show founder and executive producer.

"P&G is thrilled to be a sponsor for the Gospel Superfest, which is a must-stop on the gospel music events calendar," said Marchoe Northern, P&G Swiffer brand manager. "For P&G, it is important for us to support events and programs that celebrate the rich culture of all of our consumers."

The event will feature thirty national acts including, Richard Smallwood, J. J. Hairston, Jason Nelson, Ki Ki Sheard, The Whispers, Shirley Murdock, J. Moss, 21:03, Dorinda Clark Cole, James Jackson & Atlanta Praise, Tonya Baker, Karen Clark Sheard, Ricky Dillard & New G, Keith Wonderboy Johnson, James Fortune, Regina Belle, The CCC Step Team of Brooklyn, NY, Vicky Winans, Professor Wilbur Belton & The Ladweg Choir, Ernest Pugh, among others.

Gospel Superfest TV programming reaches millions of TV viewers annually via domestic syndication and cable. The show is also carried on major Christian networks including The Trinity Broadcasting Network and The Word Network which can be viewed on multiple cable carriers and Direct TV.
