Renault Scores Rihanna Tour Deal

Renault UK will be an official sponsor of Rihanna’s ‘The Loud Tour’ 2011. Sponsorship of the 23-show UK tour, which will begin on October 1st, will support the Clio brand. Rihanna recently launched a sultry TV ad campaign with the brand, as well.


Renault UK launched the latest Clio Va Va Voom campaign, created by Publicis London, on February 6th. The new commercial stars Rihanna alongside soccer player Thierry Henry, Burlesque star Dita Von Teese, David Bowie and screen icons Marlon Brando and Audrey Hepburn. The track is a mix from Rihanna’s new single S&M, and includes Clare Maguire’s Ain’t Nobody and David Bowie’s iconic Space Oddity.

“Rihanna is in our new Renault Clio ad so it seemed a logical step to be involved with her much anticipated Loud Tour later this year," Phil York, Renault UK Marketing Director said. "We have no doubt that she’ll prove she has plenty of Va Va Voom on stage and are delighted to be supporting her.”

Rihanna makes a cameo appearance (don't blink!) in Renault Clio’s new TV ad, which was so racy that the UK has reportedly banned TV networks from showing it during daytime TV.

Starting in October, the sold out tour will begin in Belfast and end in Manchester, UK on December 2nd, 2011.
