Report: Anschutz Asking $10 Billion For AEG

According to Reuters, Philip Anschutz has kicked off the auction for Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) "with an expectation that the company should draw bids in the $10 billion range." Reuters reports that the the company, which owns premier sports and entertainment assets such as the Staples Center, Rose Garden, Home Depot Center, Los Angeles Kings hockey team and Los Angeles Galaxy pro soccer team, is likely to send out pitch books by the end of the month to trade buyers, private equity firms and rich individuals. Blackstone has been hired to handle the multi-round bidding process.
