Report: Motorola Out As NFL Partner
Motorola, which has branded NFL sideline headsets since 1999, is ending its 13-year sponsorship deal with the league, Crain's Chicago Business reports. The sponsorship will save the Schaumburg, Illinois-based company an estimated $40 million per year. Motorola Mobility, the consumer phone business that was spun out of Motorola, Inc. in 2011, is in the process of being acquired by Google. Verizon Wireless will maintain its role as official wireless provider of the NFL.
