Sponsorship For Fire Trucks?

Supermarket, Food 4 Less, a subsidiary of Kroger Company, has come to the rescue of the Stockton Fire Department's budget shortfall. Food 4 Less's sponsorship will allow the Stockton Fire Department to purchase a brand new fire truck.

According to KCRA.com:

A federal grant paid $400,000 to purchase the truck, but the city that's been hard-hit by budget woes was still short of funds until Food 4 Less covered the gap.

"We are headquartered here. We have 1,800 employees in California -- almost 900 are in the city of Stockton -- so yes, this is our way of giving back to the community," John Quinn from Food 4 Less told KCRA.com.

In exchange for the $200,000 sponsorship, the supermarket will receive prominent logo placement on the new fire truck. The length of the deal? 20 years - the anticipated shelf life of the equipment.
