Strikeouts No Laughing Matter For Orioles Affiliate

One minor league baseball team is giving new meaning to the term "going down swinging." Thanks to a sponsorship from a local funeral home, Frederick Keys fans who are out for a fun night at the ballpark hear this after every strikeout:

"That's another Keeney & Basford Funeral Home Strikeout É"

That may seem a little strange to some, but not to Keith Roberson, a co-owner of Keeney & Basford Funeral Home.

"We are a business with a deep sense of community involvement and we were looking for a way to reach out to the community in a way that touched the lives of family and kids," Roberson told the Federick News Post.

As a strikeout sponsor of the Baltimore Orioles class A affiliate, the funeral home will also donate $10 for every "K" to the Keys' K's For Kids program.

Seems all well and good. When there's a more involved call to action, we'll start to worry.
