TRX Sponsors You (and Drew Brees)

Want to join Drew Brees in one company's endorsement portfolio? TRX, the suspension training equipment company probably best-known for its wacky Drew Brees video promos, is the latest company to 'sponsor' every day people with a new campaign that uses social media to identify the every day athletes that deserve the company's sponsorship cash. The "TRX Sponsors You" campaign asks every day athletes to pick a compelling training goal, then submit a video about it. Rather than picking winners, the company is letting YouTube decide who wins. The 10 winners whose videos receive the most views receive cash and training equipment to support their goals. Naturally, the company asks participants to promote their video entries via Facebook, Twitter and other social networks to maximize the number of video views they get in the contest, which started in January and runs through the end of April. So far over 40 videos have been submitted via the company's Get With The Movement YouTube channel.

Learn more about the promotion in the video below and watch Brees' workout for tips. For some other social media driven micro-sponsorship campaigns, check out these from Prilosec and Miller High Life.
