[Video] OK Go's Latest Sponsored Music Video Looks Like Another Hit

OK Go, the band that famously teamed up with State Farm on this ridiculously successful sponsored music video, is at it again. Their most recent video Needing/Getting (below) premiered during the Super Bowl pregame program. Coming on the heels of its partnership with Google Chrome, the unconventional band enlisted Chevrolet for some do-not-try-this-at-home action. For its latest video, OK Go set up over 1,000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There were no stunt drivers used as lead vocalist, Damian Kulash, took stunt driving lessons for the video.

Chevrolet is extending the partnership to its own Chevy Sonic website, http://letsdothis.com/stunts/, where OK Go fans can win downloads of the song and see behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the video.

In just under two days, the video has nearly 5 million views on YouTube. Not anywhere close to the 33 million This Too Shall Pass has racked up, but not a bad take for only 2 days! Here is OK Go's latest video entitled Needing/Getting...
