World Cup Biter Loses Brand Sponsor
Less than one month after signing Uruguayan football star, Luis Suarez, 888poker has withdrawn its sponsorship after the biting incident that got him a nine match, four-month FIFA ban. Adidas, which also has a deal with Suarez, says it is also evaluating its £1 million partnership with the 27-year-old striker. While Adidas and 888poker distanced themselves, other brands have taken advantage of the controversy using the biting incident as an opportunity to join the World Cup conversation.
