The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour today announced that Swedish beauty brand, Oriflame, will become the Tour’s official cosmetics partner beginning in 2011. The multilevel marketer has more than 3.3 million consultants worldwide and does business in 62 countries worldwide.
Under terms of the two year partnership, Oriflame will become an official partner of the Tour in Europe, Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States, Middle East and Africa and receive signage, branding and both traditional and digital marketing rights at 26 events in these regions.
“We are thrilled to become a sponsor of the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour and support the world’s best female athletes,” said Magnus Brännström CEO, Oriflame. “Women’s tennis combines the perfect balance of athleticism and glamour, and through this new partnership Oriflame wants to help inspire women around the world to look great, have fun and be the best they can be.”
“It is exciting to see Oriflame become a partner of women’s tennis and I think they will be a great fit for the Tour,” said Sony Ericsson WTA Tour World No.5 Elena Dementieva. “Women tennis players strive to be exceptional athletes on the court as well as fashionable women off the court, so of course we want to use the best beauty products available.”
