Phoenix Rising FC is the highest-level professional soccer franchise in Arizona’s history. Established in 2016, the club enters its second year in the United Soccer League, which has been awarded Division 2 status by the U.S. Soccer Federation. Soccer legend Didier Drogba plays for the team and is a part owner. The franchise is one of twelve vying for an MLS expansion spot.
