The club was founded in 1944 as a result of a merger and currently play in Ligue 1, the first division of French football.
As principal partner from the start of the 2019/20 season, the Boulanger Group, which has held commercial ties with the Ligue 1 club since 2009, gains primary branding on the team’s kit during league and Uefa Champions League matches, as well on their training kit. The deal also extends to LOSC’s women's and esports teams.
