It was developed by Rudolf Wild in 1969 in America, where Capri Sonne has been a registered trademark since 1952.[1] Capri Sun has been distributed in the United States since 1981. Kraft Foods is a licensed production partner for North America. In the Netherlands, France and the UK, it is distributed by Coca-Cola Enterprises.

Launched in January 2007, Kabillion is available both as a free video on demand channel currently available on Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, and Optimum West digital cable systems across the United States, a free online broadband site offering streaming video and, until the site's relaunch, an online community—all designed for a key demographic of kids from 6 to 9.
